Sofia Sirogianni graduated from the Law School of the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens (LL.B., 2021) and holds a Master’s degree from the same university in Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure (LL.M. with honours, 2023), in the context of which she wrote a thesis on “The aftereffect of the presumption of innocence”.
She has working experience on both criminal and civil law cases.
During her studies she completed an internship at the Data Protection Authority and worked in a general law office. Part of her traineeship was carried out in the legal department of National Insurance.
She has a social activity and voluntary participation in the organization of several legal conferences. She has been an active member of the European Law Student’s Association of Greece. Indicatively, she was responsible for the organization of the ELSA Greece summer law school on Maritime Law in 2019 and was in charge of the coordination of conferences and workshops on various areas of law with emphasis on criminal law. She remains active in the network as a member of Elsa Greece Alumni. During her student years she had attended numerous training seminars and participated in a moot court in criminal law.
She was admitted to the Athens Bar Association in 2022 and joined Ioannis Th. Iriotis Law Firm in 2023.
